Taft Residency, Children’s Picture Book

In this project I am developing original artworks and a narrative for a 32+ page picture book for children with a backdrop featuring the flora and fauna of Southern California’s Coastal Sage Brush region. the taft artist residency grants free access to the land for 9 months and a group exhibition in spring. (you should come!) field time and studio time are self-funded and reduce my client capacity. if this project feels meaningful and inspiring to you, support of any amount and sponsorship are welcome!

resources needed:

  • $500 for materials for working with letterpress and printmaker studios in town

  • $1500 tech assistance for project development and promotion.

  • support in kind for time spent on the field.
